BYLAWS CHANGE SUGGESTED -

Evan has proposed some additional changes to the club bylaws. They can be seen at the bottom of the current bylaws.

FIELD CONDITION -

Very nice. The grass is starting to green up and the lake is full for those who like or need to soak your balsa. There have been lots of visitors lately so watch your frequencies.

SWAP MEET -

The 2008 Swap Meet has been scheduled for the weekend of August 2nd and it will be held inside the Denton City Civic Center as in the past. Off site parking will be available at the DFW and Denver International airports but shuttle service will not be provided. For those of you who like to plan ahead, the 2009 Swap Meet will be held in 2009.

FIELD IMPROVEMENTS -

Evan Wenger has been busy with his wheel barrow and shovel. He's filled in several of the large gofer holes and bomb craters left over from WWII. When you see him, be sure to say thanks; it could be your landing gear that his efforts will have saved.

NEW AIRPLANES

Hank Hamner has sold his Venus 40 and replaced it with a Nitro Models Yak. He has it powered by a Saito .82 that had been on his Funtana. He's also recently finished building a Kyosho Flip which he has powered with an OS.91 complete with a Perry Pump and carburetor. His hovering skills have taken a leap forward since he started flying that plane.

Kerry Kennedy has completed his DL50 powered Seagul Bling. Its maiden flight ended with some damage which has since been repaired. He's flown it several times recently and it looks promising. He says he'll be touching its tail on the ground in the near future. His son has also been working on the restoration of an Carl Goldberg Extreme Edge 540 profile.

Bob Kramer has had a new 85cc Aeroworks Extra 260 at the field recently. He's been experimenting with its CG and seems to be getting comfortable with the it.

Hector Gonzales has been flying a new electric Cap 232 recently. He is also in the process of building a new World Models Yak 54 which was a gift from his wife. He's also moved to a Futaba Cap9 Super complete with a Spectrum DSM2 2.4ghz module.

DL-50 ENGINES -

It's official, Bob Kramer has entered into agreement with the manufacturer of the new DL-50 50cc gas RC airplane engine, to be their first US based Distributor and After Sale Customer Service and Support Representative. The website for DLUSA is located at www.dlusa.net and it has tons of great information about the engines and how to order your own.

The low price, tremendous power and high quality of these engines are going to make entry into the quarter scale gas arena available to lots of new people. Demand for these engines has already outpaced supply and that's likely to put pressure on the price. Now may be a good time to get on the waiting list if you're interested in getting one of these engines. Contact Bob a sales@dlusa.net
